Happy Holidays! December is a busy month of shopping and merriment. This season is all about friends, family, gratitude and celebrating the end of a year while also looking forward to the excitement of a new year and new beginning. One of the best parts about the holiday seasons is traditions and one of my favourites is Christmas shopping in Yorkville! Bloor Street, Yorkville Village and Hazleton Lanes are always the most important destinations on my shopping map. To make my shopping a breeze I checked into the ultra luxurious Hazelton Hotel in Yorkville for a night of pampering and indulgence after a busy day of buzzing around Toronto.
The Hazelton Hotel sets a new standard in style, detail and bespoke service. Located right in the heart of Toronto, this glamorous boutique hotel is my favourite in the city. From the outside the hotel’s handsome red and white brick exterior exudes class and style, while on the inside sexy, dramatic interiors by internationally renowned design firm Yabu Pushelberg make The Hazelton a cultural catalyst. With its stunning rooms, incredible art collection and world-class cuisine at ONE Restaurant by Mark McEwan this hotel experience was timelessly memorable.
Right from the first moment I stepped into the hotel I felt like I was in heaven. The staff at The Hazelton are so courteous and welcoming. The lobby is dark, mysterious, glamorous and seductive. My room echoed the vibe of downstairs with a dramatic design inspired by the 1940s. The Hazelton is the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of Bloor Street in December. One of the best parts of staying in a hotel is pampering yourself! From the spa to 24-hour room service, The Hazelton pulls out all the stops leaving guests with nothing but paradise. After putting my bags in my room I escaped to the pool to unwind. After a relaxing dip it was back to the room for dinner and dessert.

In the summer the patio of ONE at The Hazelton is jam packed with sunny brunch goers, but come winter the best way to experience the classic French and Italian flavours of this fine cuisine is through 24-hour-in-room dining. My mouth melted after the first bite of my

Breakfast
The best part of staying in a hotel is room service right when you wake up! From delicious orange juice to fresh coffee, my morning at The Hazelton Hotel was filled with indulgence. If you’re looking for something sugary Cinnamon French Toast will satisfy your sweet tooth while savoury food lovers should go straight to the Eggs Benedict (topped with artisan ham, brioche and hollandaise – this Eggs Benny is best in Toronto!) Other morning delights on the ONE Restaurant room service menu include the Yogurt Parfait with greek yogurt, house made granola and berries and Continental Breakfast featuring bakery pastries. You will definitely find it hard to choose what you want to eat when you’re ordering breakfast or brunch, but luckily every dish will be divine.
After breakfast there is nothing more lovely than strolling around Yorkville in the morning. I could browse the beautiful boutiques all day long. Feeling refreshed after a sumptuous night at this chic cosmopolitain mecca my departure from The Hazelton Hotel has me longing for another Toronto staycation again soon.
